What is the US High School Diploma?
The US High School Diploma is a globally recognised secondary qualification, accepted by universities across New Zealand, Australia, the UK, the US, and the world.
Students graduate with a US High School Diploma by earning 18 or 24 credits over the last four years of their schooling for completed classes and meeting minimum credit requirements across core subject areas, including English, Math, Science, and Humanities.
The US school academic year runs from September to the following May, with an optional summer term. During a typical school year, students will earn between 4.5 - 6 credits. Only AP subjects have formal exams in May of each year.
CGA’s US High School Diploma has a selection of subjects that are career and product-oriented, with assessment based on coursework rather than exams alone. You can see the list of subjects offered on pages 12-13 of the US High School Diploma prospectus.
Students graduating from CGA receive an official transcript and US High School Diploma certificate upon graduation.
