How will the fellowship year be structured academically?
Fellows will complete the US High School Diploma or the International A Levels through Crimson Global Academy (CGA), one of the world's leading online schools.
CGA offers three learning formats: small group classes, 1-1 Da Vinci classes, and CGA Flex (classroom recordings). CGA Flex is only available for the US High School Diploma.
The programme is designed to be completed in one year, though each student’s pathway will be assessed individually based on their goals and academic history.
Moving from the NZ to the US or A Level academic school year
CGA operates a global school with a February - December school year, and/or Sept-May. CGA will be able to provide recommendations on the best pathway and calendar for each student.
Students will have options for when to start their school year:
- January 2027 – aligned to the NZ academic calendar
- September 2026 – aligned to the US/ Northern Hemisphere school year start; bridging support will be provided to cover any missed classes or credits.
If a student completes Term 1-2 of their NZ academic year before transitioning over to CGA, they can transfer 0.5 credits per eligible subject.
CGA will work closely with each student and their family to ensure the transition between schools is seamless and personalised to their situation.
